WEEKLY COMPETITIONS
Weekly fixtured competitions are being run all year round. Teams can enter at any time and we will do our best to get you playing in the current season (provided there are available spots). If unable to get you into the current season, we will find a place for you in the next season!
Monday
Mondays we run pairs matches. Monday nights is currently home to our coveted “AAA” grades, hosting some of the country’s top ranked teams. This allows Australia’s top players a home on those cold Melbourne nights, to come and still compete against one another throughout both winter and the summer! As well as this, we have levels playing all the way though to our “A2” division which showcases our up and comers, whilst they get the chance to play next to and watch what they’re aspiring to become!
Tuesday
Tuesdays hosts our 3-6 a side competition, as well as our designated Womens Pairs. Our 3-6 a side competion allows for a social, friendly match to be played, allowing people to step away from the more serious matches of pairs. This allows everyone to play the sport and enjoy doing so, even with limited skills. Running alongside our 3-6 a side, we have Melbourne’s only designated womens pairs competiton! Being Melbourne’s only womens compeition, it allows us to be the hub of beach volleyball for women in Melbourne. Hosting players ranging from National Tour level to beginners, you’re sure to find a place to fit!
Wednesday
Wednesdays we see our exclusive 3-6 a side night! With matches starting at 6:40 and having full court capacity all night, it sees our busiest night of 3-6 a side competition! With so many people coming through the centre, you’ll forever have a friendly face to chat with, while also enjoying our recently refurbished viewing / entertaining area.
Thursday
Thursdays sees our pairs teams take the sand once again! With grades ranging from “AA1” to “B” grade, we see it all on a Thursday night. With people playing in multiple teams with different partners, we have created an amazing community atmosphere on Thursday nights. With everyone knowing everyone, our couches and bar style tables are forever full with players staying around after their games to tell a Furphy with one-another! Within this community we have multiple generations of families all playing together, as well as future little volleyballers running around playing with each other whilst the adults get a workout on the sand!
